Through the provision of tools and training courses, CARE TO ACTION supports the empowerment of Indian women. It also promotes and supports women's self-help groups, contexts that offer opportunities for the growth of individual and community awareness.
Helping a woman always proves to be a generative investment: she will use the opportunity she has received to become economically independent, she will proudly provide for the well-being of her entire family, and she will put herself to the help of other women with a similar experience.
2/3 of all health workers are men and women represent
CARE TO ACTION wants to support women's empowerment through the help to the self-help groups that have sprung up in rural and urban contexts, learning activities, and providing work tools, so that women can be aware of their rights, have a supporting network, get useful knowledge about money management, learn a job and have the means to do it independently.
CARE TO ACTION pays much attention to training women in particular social-economic distress, accompanying them on empowerment paths to start micro-enterprises or individual businesses, and providing them with the initial tools to start their own activities.
The protection of women also includes the promotion and support of women's self-help groups, with the aim of empowering them socially and economically, improving awareness of available social protection systems and making them more accessible.
CARE TO ACTION aims at renovating anganwadi, often dilapidated government nurseries, to ensure safe and secure schools for children. It also organises training activities for mothers and facility staff, conveying information on mother and child health.
