Over the past few weeks, whilst schools in India were closed for the summer holidays, we organised six summer camps involving a total of 308 children.

In the schools of the five slums in Vijayawada where we operate, 272 children took part in educational, creative and recreational activities designed to help them continue learning and socialising during the summer break.

Mango’s Home also opened its doors to the community, hosting a summer camp for 36 local children alongside the young residents who were unable to spend the holidays with their families.
This initiative strengthened the bond between the care home and the local area, encouraging interaction between the children at Mango’s Home and their peers from the neighbourhood.
