Shram Daan, or ‘the beauty of return’ in Hindi, is understood as an act of giving back and giving thanks for what life has given us. It was in this spirit that our annual Gala Dinner took place last Thursday in the beautiful setting of Palazzo Parigi in Milan.

An important moment to raise funds to support projects for girls, young girls and women from the slums of Vijayawada in southern India.
It was a special occasion to meet old and new supporters and to take stock of what has been achieved over the past year.

Of particular interest was the live recording of a special episode of ESPRESSO INDIANO, which will be available on Spotify and all major podcast platforms in the coming weeks. Monica Mattiolo, who hosted the evening, was joined by Simona Bocchi, Luca Tramontin, Selvaggia Velo and Rosario Zaccà to share their personal experiences of Shram Daan.

Special thanks also go to Filippo Lotti of Artdefender, who skilfully organised the charity auction, and to the companies and organisations that supported the event.
