International Yoga Day 2025

On International Yoga Day, children from three primary and five secondary schools in the Vijayawada slums enthusiastically participated in yoga sessions dedicated to physical, mental and relational well-being.

Children from Mango’s Home and women from the Kandrika Women’s House also took part in this special day, which was led by teachers, tutors and community coordinators through exercises, breathing techniques and moments of reflection on inner balance.

As well as being a beneficial practice for the body and mind, yoga proves to be a valuable tool for social inclusion, combatting school dropout and strengthening self-confidence, especially in vulnerable contexts.
