Culture, solidarity and social commitment

Orizzonti Indiani brought together culture, solidarity and social commitment in the splendid setting of Praglia Abbey (PD).

We were joined by Carlo Pizzati, a journalist and writer, who took us on a journey through history and current affairs by presenting his latest book, Il fuggitivo. Sulle tracce di un prigioniero di guerra fra l’India di ieri e di oggi” (The Fugitive: On the Trail of a Prisoner of War Between the India of Yesterday and Today). On the trail of a prisoner of war between the India of yesterday and today).

Monica Mattiolo, our member, friend and editor of our magazine Insieme, presented the meeting and introduced the themes of the day, facilitating the dialogue with the author.

We presented the audience with the projects we are carrying out in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, two regions in southern India where we strive every day to ensure access to education, inclusion and rights.

After the presentation, a solidarity lunch and a guided tour of the abbey made the day even more beautiful and meaningful.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all those who participated and continue to support us. Broadening horizons is possible, but only together.

Against the splendid backdrop of Praglia Abbey, Carlo Pizzati took us on a journey through history and current affairs.
