In 2026, CARE TO ACTION celebrates its 35th anniversary. It is an important milestone that we have chosen to mark with a simple but meaningful sign: our logo now includes a special line, “35 years of CARE TO ACTION,” to celebrate the journey we have taken together over the years.

Our story began with an unlikely encounter: that between a small fishing village in southern India, overlooking the Bay of Bengal, and the city of Venice, the historic port of the Adriatic. From that meeting a connection was born that has grown over time, involving thousands of people.

Over the past 35 years, more than 15,000 donors in Italy have chosen to support our work, helping create opportunities for education and growth for tens of thousands of children, women, and families in India.

The heart of CARE TO ACTION, however, has never been only about numbers. It has always been about relationships: encounters between people, shared stories, and the trust built over time between communities that are geographically distant but deeply connected.

As recalled by General Director Antonio Benci and President Elisabetta Zegna, our organization is first and foremost a community: a network of people who, over the years, have chosen to commit themselves to supporting vulnerable children “from the street to school,” building pathways for growth based on transparency, cooperation, and sustainability.

This anniversary is not a finishing line, but a milestone in a collective journey that continues every day—together.
