Yesterday, on the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labour, we experienced an extraordinary day in Vijayawada, full of emotion and reflection.

In the five slums where we run projects, children, families and communities came together to voice their strong opposition to this injustice that robs children of their right to a childhood.
There were many initiatives organised, including film screenings, drawing competitions, dance performances and small theatre productions, as well as a signature campaign to raise awareness of the importance of guaranteeing the rights of every child.

The most exciting moment? When, together as one — adults, children and local authorities — we made a promise to work together to eliminate child labour.

It was a day we won’t forget because change comes from the voices of those who believe in a different future.
